Second "Culinary Lesson"
Hey, guys. While I was traveling, a real autumn has come to Kiev. Brr. A weather change for everyone is a new culinary season for a chef. That’s why today during the culinary show we are going to talk about the tasty stuff – seasonal food products.
Those of you who have already visited “Odessa” restaurant surely noticed the special “Seasonal Menu”. So, those are not just dishes created joyfully for you by me and my team. That is the concept allowing our guests to taste the latest seasonal products. And this is the direct path to healthy nutrition :). After all the seasonal products mean freshness, incredible taste, extra nutritive quality and minimum health hazards. There is a world movement of people trying to eat only local seasonal food products, they call themselves “local wares” (from English local wares). Interesting enough that the seasonality is related not only to fruits and vegetables, but also to other food products, including meat and fish. Where do you think so many dishes with mussels in our Seasonal Menu come from? Speaking about ongoing months one can say that in October such following seasonal food products will be in our menu as: lamb meat, eel, chanterelles; in November: oysters, pumpkin, quince; in December: turkey, sea bass, pomegranate. And these are just a few examples, and the rest of peculiarities you can comprehend when tasting all new dishes from our monthly seasonal offer.
And finally, maybe a little bit out of subject, but with all my heart I will quote an inscription on the banner proud heartedly flowing over the Odessa “Privoz” (the biggest and the most famous market place in Odessa): “Come to Odessa, Dear Sirs, Otherwise Odessa will Come to You!”:).
See you on Wednesday!
Yours Sincerely, Yurii.
